DID YOU KNOW ...
The "National Tree Day" began to be celebrated on October 12, but a decree from 1941 decided to commemorate it on April 29. Trees are the best allies, as they capture and recharge water sources, release oxygen and capture carbon dioxide. For this reason, it is necessary to promote an awareness of protection, conservation and restoration of forests, making good use of natural resources.
World Tree Day, also called World Forest Day, was initially a recommendation of the World Forestry Congress held in Rome in 1969. This recommendation was accepted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 1971.
